Conference League Goals

Shamrock Rovers and Shelbourne have made disappointing starts to the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League and both teams are in desperate need of a victory heading into matchday four of six.

The Hoops are down in 31st position, level on one point with the 30th-placed Reds, but the duo face difficult talks to improve on that tally when they take on Shakhtar Donetsk and AZ Alkmaar respectively.

Shamrock Rovers vs Shakhtar Donetsk Tips

Tip 1: Shakhtar Donetsk to win and over 3.5 goals @ 8/5

With just two wins in their last eight matches, Shamrock are in the midst of a miserable run and they are unlikely to get any respite when they welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to the Tallaght Stadium in Dublin.

The Hoops lost to Sparta Prague (4-1) and Celje (2-0) in the first two rounds of the Conference League before picking up their first point of the League Phase with a goalless draw at AEK Athens.

Shakhtar have mixed two victories with a defeat to leave them 10th in the standings and they head into this contest in superb scoring form, racking up 7-1 and 6-0 wins in their last two matches.

Over 3.5 goals has landed in four of the Ukrainian giants' last six matches, all of those ending in successes for Shakhtar, and the visitors can claim the spoils in another high-scoring affair.

Tip 2: Kaua Elias anytime goalscorer @ 59/50

Brazilian forward Kaua Elias has scored four goals in his last four appearances, taking his season tally to nine and he can continue his fine form at Rovers' expense.

The 19-year-old has netted twice in the League Phase of the UEFA Conference League and he will be relishing the chance to take on a Shamrock side who have conceded seven goals in their three European fixtures.

AZ Alkmaar vs Shelbourne Tips

Tip 1: AZ Alkmaar to win to nil @ 19/20

AZ Alkmaar are on the slide after three defeats in a row, but they should be able to return to winning ways when they welcome Shelbourne to the AFAS Stadion for Conference League action.

The Dutch outfit have lost 3-1 to Crystal Palace, 5-1 against PSV and 3-1 at Heerenveen in this mini-slump, but a return to home turf, where they have won three of their last four games, should bring about an upturn in form.

Shelbourne have collected just one point from a possible nine in the League Phase and they are yet to find the back of the net, drawing blanks against Hacken, Shkendija and Drita.

Tip 2: Sven Mijnans anytime goalscorer @ 21/10

AZ attacking midfielder Sven Mijnans has scored four goals in his last six appearances and he looks capable of adding to his tally against a Shelbourne side who have kept just one clean sheet in their last six away fixtures.

Two of the 25-year-old's strikes have come in the League Phase, while he also netted in the earlier qualifying rounds of this competition against Ilves Tampere.
