The Club World Cup reaches its conclusion on Sunday as Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea clash at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The game kicks off at 20:00 as European champions PSG come up against a Blues outfit who lifted the Conference League crown at the end of last season.

Selections

Dominant PSG can win with room to spare

Before the Club World Cup kicked off, there were concerns that Paris Saint-Germain may lack the motivation or the energy to fight for another title after their all-conquering season in France and Europe.

Those fears have proven to be unfounded as the freshly-crowned Champions League winners have been sensational in the USA.

PSG put Atletico Madrid to the sword in their opening game, crushing the La Liga side 4-0, and made similar statements in the knockout stages with a 2-0 quarter-final win over Bayern Munich, before they dismantled Real Madrid 4-0 in the semi-finals earlier this week.

Chelsea have had a far easier run to the final and the only European rival they have faced so far have been Benfica, who they needed extra-time to oust in the last 16.

PSG have looked a level above every rival in this competition, aside from a 1-0 loss to Botafogo in the group stages.

That defeat to the Brazilian outfit now looks like a mere bump in the road rather than anything more concerning and they should be able to cover a -1 handicap against a Chelsea outfit who have had to grind out wins over Palmeiras and Fluminense in the last two rounds.

Last-four hero Ruiz can star for PSG again

Fabian Ruiz had been fairly quiet for PSG before the semi-final against Real, with one goal and one assist in five games.

The Spaniard hit top gear against Los Blancos, however, scoring twice inside the opening 24 minutes to help the Parisians open up a 3-0 lead and effectively put the game to bed.

Ruiz isn’t necessarily a prolific scorer for the Ligue 1 champions - he had a modest five goals across all competitions last season - but that performance against Real means he should head into this game in full confidence and at a big price he appeals for an anytime effort.

Fernandez can record a shot on target

Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez has been getting plenty of chances at the Club World Cup, so he looks a decent value pick to at least record a shot on goal.

The Argentina international is averaging 2.2 shots per-game and he has had at least one attempt in all of Chelsea’s games so far, so he looks good value to at least test the PSG keeper on Sunday.

Semi Final Tips

The Club World Cup has reached the semi-final stage and there are two huge last-four ties on the horizon.

Fluminense will take on Chelsea at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey at 20:00 on Tuesday, while Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will meet at the same venue on Wednesday.

Selections

Tip 1: Blues can enjoy semi-final cruise

Chelsea can move to the Club World Cup final with a comfortable semi-final success over Fluminense. The Blues have kept two clean sheets in the group stage of the competition with a 2-0 victory over Los Angeles FC and a 3-0 success against Esperance de Tunis.

The west Londoners’ defence was breached in a 4-1 extra-time last-16 success Benfica and Enzo Maresca’s men were 2-1 winners over Palmeiras in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.

However, Chelsea allowed Palmeiras only two shots on target and an expected goals tally of just 0.21 in their last-eight tie and it was a match of complete control for Maresca’s men.

Benfica hit only eight shots and two corners in their round-of-16 tie with Chelsea and both the Eagles and the Big Green appear superior sides to Fluminense.

Tricolor failed to score in group-stage games against Dortmund and Mamelodi Sundowns, and while the Brazilians hit the net twice against Inter in the knockout round, those strikes came from only four shots on target in a game where Renato Gaucho’s men were second best.

Fluminense’s two quarter-final strikes against Al-Hilal came from only three shots on target and an expected goals tally of just 0.76.

Matheus Martinelli, who hit the Tricolor’s winner in the last-eight tie with Al-Hilal will miss the semi-final through suspension and that could further limit Fluminense’s attacking output.

At 7/5, Chelsea look a good bet to move into the final of the Club World Cup without conceding a goal.

Tip 2: PSG the real deal

PSG can down Real Madrid in a top-level Club World Cup semi-final.

The Parisians lifted their first Champions League crown earlier this season and Luis Enrique’s team is one of fierce progression.

The Frenchmen have scored 27 goals in their last nine matches and it’s difficult to see how Real Madrid will be able to keep the French club at bay.

Real are a work in progress under new boss Xabi Alonso, and while Los Blancos have looked good in patches at the Club World Cup, a 1-0 last-16 victory over Juventus and 3-2 quarter-final success against Borussia Dortmund were not entirely convincing.

Real are hampered by the suspension of new defensive signing Dean Huijsen, and with fellow centre-back Eder Militao struggling for fitness, the La Liga side could be a little light at the back.

Read Through our OUTRIGHT tips at the start of the tournament

The revamped Club World Cup kicks off this week, with 32 teams from around the globe chasing the trophy.

Real Madrid are the early favourites for the tournament, followed by Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain.

Teams have been aggressive in the transfer window ahead of the tournament, including Premier League representatives Manchester City and Chelsea. That could be vital in deciding who lifts the trophy in New Jersey next month.

Tip 1 - Manchester City to win at 19/4

Manchester City had a disappointing season, finishing without a trophy and failing to factor into the Premier League title race. However, their early-season struggles allowed Pep Guardiola to begin his rebuild of the side in January, with the club making some big signings.

That aggressive approach has continued in the mini-window ahead of the Club World Cup. City are expected to get deals for Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, and Rayan Cherki over the line ahead of the tournament.

Those additions give City a recognised left-back, while boosting a midfield which will be without Mateo Kovacic and Kevin De Bruyne.

The Citizens have Erling Haaland back, complemented by January signing Omar Marmoush up top. They also welcomed Rodri back at the end of the previous campaign, so the Spaniard should build up minutes the further City get into this tournament.

Man City have a kind group draw, pitting them against Moroccan side Wydad AC, UAE outfit Al Ain and a Juventus side lacking direction.

City also have a kind knockout run in prospect, with Al-Hilal expected to meet them in the last 16, before a potential quarter-final with Inter Milan.

While City have sounded lukewarm around the tournament, the huge prize fund should focus minds. Guardiola has suggested they’ll approach this as a pre-season tournament, but City’s first four matches should allow them to do that and still reach the last eight.

From there, a full-strength City side will be strong contenders, especially as they seek to correct a poor 24/25 campaign.

Tip 2 - Borussia Dortmund to finish in the top eight 10/11

Borussia Dortmund were one of the biggest movers ahead of the transfer deadline, landing Sunderland’s Jobe Bellingham.

The Bundesliga outfit were brilliant towards the end of the season, winning seven of their final eight league games to secure a return to the Champions League.

Dortmund have landed a kind Group F draw, pitting them against Fluminense, Ulsan HD, and Mamelodi Sundowns. They’re also expected to land a non-European side in the last 16, so the German outfit are good value at 10/11 to reach the last eight.

Tip 3 - Atletico Madrid to win at 13/1

Atletico Madrid are tempting outsiders in this group, despite being paired with PSG in Group B.

The Spaniards were able to ease to the end of the season having secured Champions League football. Their season took a heavy hit in a controversial European exit to rivals Real.

Atletico’s real weakness this term has been Barcelona, who knocked them out of the cup and ended their title hopes with a 4-2 victory in the Spanish capital.

Barca’s absence this summer should delight an Atletico side that have the talent to make a run. They’ve got a top-quality goalkeeper and a strong defensive setup, while Julian Alvarez has been a fantastic addition to their forward line.

Diego Simeone’s side beat PSG last autumn, so we can see them topping Group B and getting a kind run to the last four. They’ll be targeting revenge on Real in the semis, so they’re a good each-way bet.
