The verification process is simply a method for LeoVegas, as a service provider, to know who its clients are. This is as per required by our MGA license.

Apart from learning where you reside, our aim with the verification process is to ensure that no money laundering or terrorism financing takes place on our platform. In the process of doing so, we’re also looking out for you. We’re making sure your minors are safeguarded by prohibiting underage gambling, all the while working to protect you from falling victim to any fraudulent activities.

We strive to nurture a fun and safe environment for all our clients which is why we take the notion of KYC very seriously.

The documents we require from you

The assortment of documents we require on your end may vary on the basis of the payment method you have opted for.

Generally speaking, we typically ask for:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of payment method(s)

Proof of identity

Typically, you’ll be asked to submit a copy of your passport or national ID card. The reason for this being that we need to confirm whether you truly are who you’re claiming to be. Once we’ve received your details, we’re then able to verify that the player using the account, is the same person the account is registered to.

This step is necessary for us to be able to abide by Responsible Gaming practices, as well as the aforementioned reasons.

N.B.

In order to make this process as quick and smooth as possible for all parties involved, we ask you to make sure that the documentation provided is both visible and legible. For one, it’s of utmost importance that all four corners of the identification card are within view. With regard to the ID card, we’d also require you to submit a copy of both facets of the card.

Proof of address

Another thing we’ll require from you is a proof of address. The reason we do this is to ensure that you live in the country you listed in the process of registering your account.
