Hertha Berlin vs Union Berlin - 7:30pm 22nd May

The 27th matchday of the season brings together two sides from the same historic city, as Hertha and Union clash in Berlin. This is certainly going to be a different kind of derby atmosphere, as the usual ferocious fan bases will not be allowed into the stadium. Hertha are the hosts this time, and they’ll be looking for a slice of revenge after Union claimed the win earlier in the season. New Hertha manager Bruno Labbadia started his reign with a shock 3-0 win at Hoffenheim last week and they’ll hope to take that form into Friday’s contest.

Hertha Berlin To Win: 13/10

Borussia Monchengladbach vs Bayer Leverkusen - 2:30pm 23rd May

It’s 3rd against 5th in what could well be the most intriguing contest of the weekend. There has been a lot of talk about Gladbach potentially putting together a title challenge, but Leverkusen are only two points behind them in the table. These two exciting teams returned last week with impressive wins. Both of these sides look very handy this season, so it may be difficult or even impossible to split them here even though Gladbach have won six of their last eight against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Draw: 13/5

Paderborn vs Hoffenheim - 2:30pm 23rd May

It’s fair to say that things are reaching an extremely crucial stage for Paderborn, who are rooted to the bottom of the league. They are six points adrift of the relegation play-off place and all odds are against them surviving. Even though Hoffenheim had a poor result last week they were unlucky to lose by such a wide margin. Being honest, there is a clear gulf in quality between these two sides, so if the visitors play to their potential they should win the game. They’re also still well in reach of a Europa League place, so there is plenty to play for.

Hoffenheim To Win: 21/20

Freiburg vs Werder Bremen - 2:30pm 23rd May

As mentioned in last week's preview, things have gone horribly wrong for Werder Bremen this season and relegation seems like it’s almost inevitable. They were trounced 4-1 at home to Leverkusen on their return and they go into this game as underdogs too. Freiburg were actually unlucky not to get a surprise win against RB Leipzig last week after a last minute goal was ruled out. Werder are such a mess that it’s difficult to see them getting any kind of result.

Freiburg To Win: 11/10

Wolfsburg vs Borussia Dortmund - 2:30pm 23rd May

Borussia Dortmund are still four points behind league leaders Bayern Munich after both sides won comfortably in their returns last week. Dortmund claimed a superb derby day win against Schalke who were way under par. Erling Haaland was the name in the news once again as he opened the scoring, and we wouldn’t back against him scoring yet again in this one. Wolfsburg are a good side with European hopes, but BVB are a class above at the moment.

Dortmund To Win: 7/10

Bayern Munich vs Eintracht Frankfurt - 5:30pm 23rd May

There is not too much to say about Bayern Munich that isn’t already known. They’re a fantastic side and are massive favourites to win again. It seems like a very long time ago that Frankfurt beat Bayern 5-1 earlier in the season, leading to Niko Kovac getting the sack. At the Allianz Arena though things are usually different in this fixture, with the Bavarians winning 12 of the 13 league games against Frankfurt at this venue.

BTTS No: 10/11

Schalke vs Augsburg - 12:30pm 24th May

When discussing out of form sides, these two are certainly towards the top of the list. Schalke have dropped to 8th with a very poor run, not winning in their last eight Bundesliga games, scoring only twice. Their opponents Augsburg are struggling massively too, as they have lost their last four league games in a row. Neither side are great either in attack or defence, so who knows what to expect here. We believe that it could be a close game, possibly edged by the hosts.

Schalke To Win: Evens

Mainz vs RB Leipzig - 2:30pm 24th May

Rumour has it that Mainz fans often wake up in a cold sweat at the thought of taking on RB Leipzig again. This is due to the fact that the reverse fixture ended as a humiliating 8-0 win for Leipzig, with Timo Werner grabbing a hat-trick. That was Mainz’s biggest defeat in their history. Fast forward to now, and Mainz have steadied the ship with only one defeat in the last six. Julian Nagelsmann’s side have not been amazing, drawing far too many games for their liking. They’ve dropped to 4th in the table, and a win is definitely needed here.

RB Leipzig To Win: 2/5

Koln vs Fortuna Dusseldorf - 5:00pm 24th May

Koln started brilliantly last week, but then all that hard work went to waste as they threw away a 2-0 lead to draw against Mainz. Still, they have been good in front of goal in 2020, scoring in each of their last 12 league games. For Dusseldorf, manager Uwe Rosler has made a positive impact with the club losing only once in their seven games under his leadership. Overall, Koln have a very good record against their visitors, but it was Fortuna that claimed a rare win in the reverse fixture in a 2-0 scoreline. It will be interesting to see who comes out on top this time.

Koln To Win: 7/10
