Friday October 22nd Betting Tips

Daily Treble

- Arsenal Vs Aston Villa - Over 2.5 Goals - Torino to beat Genoa - Mainz to beat Augsburg

Overview

With a Premier League game on Friday nights for the first time since September 17th, it’s appropriate to start with Arsenal Vs Aston Villa. Predicting who picks up the win here isn’t the easiest of tasks as both teams are incredibly inconsistent; the only consistency with both of these sides is that they are poor defensively. Danny Ings and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang both grabbed goals last weekend and we think they both have a good chance of scoring again here. Either side could win this but we think the final score will be 2-1.

Genoa have been an emotional rollercoaster in Serie A this year. Only Spezia have conceded more goals and 11 out of the 35 goals in Genoa games this season have come in the final 10 minutes of games and nine of those goals impacted the end result. Ultimately, they’re not a good team mentally and crack under pressure; Torino, on the other hand, were unlucky against Napoli and Juventus and the table presents them as a worse side than what they are, their four-game run without a victory will end here.

We finish off our Friday tips with a trip to Germany where Mainz 05 take on FC Augsburg; Augsburg’s only victory this season was a 1-0 victory over Gladbach, where they had just 28% possession. In every other game, they’ve failed to pick up a win and as Mainz are a better side who typically avoid drawing games, we’re predicting a Mainz 05 victory.

Treble: 4/1

Daily Treble

- Everton to beat Watford - Athletic Bilbao to draw with Villarreal - AC Milan to beat Bologna

Overview

Claudio Ranieri’s first game of the season as manager of Watford told us everything we needed to know about the squad’s mentality. Unlike most pundits, we could actually see a work ethic within the squad; however, players seemed almost confused by their roles and struggled to push the levels required of them. They haven’t got the fitness to implement his philosophy yet and Everton should make them pay this weekend.

La Liga is a league that is full of drawn matches and two of the biggest culprits this season have been Athletic Bilbao and Villarreal with nine draws between them in the league. As much as an additional draw for both seems obscene, we can’t see anything but a draw here.

Our final bet takes us back to Italy, where unbeaten AC Milan travel to Bologna. Typically, if a side had won seven out of eight games, they would be top of the league. However, Napoli’s excellent run has them in second place and chasing Gli Azzurri. We back them to continue that chase with a victory over a Bologna side who conceded six against the Milan counterparts last month.

Treble: 19/2

Sunday October 17th Betting Tips

Daily Treble

- Liverpool to beat Manchester United - Nottingham Forest to beat Fulham - Real Madrid to draw with Barcelona

The amusing thing regarding Manchester United’s 3-2 victory over Atalanta was the response; many seem to have forgotten their record against fantastic teams in Serie A or the fact they’ve beaten Liverpool and held Manchester City in recent seasons. That being said, Liverpool are a different side entirely and should have more than enough to handle the inconsistent Manchester United.

Very few sides have had an upturn in form than Nottingham Forest with five wins in six. If they started the season like this, they’d be serious promotion contenders at this point, in fact, as they’re just four points away from the play-offs. On the other hand, Fulham has been inconsistent as of late and a home victory for the much-improved home side isn’t as unlikely as some may think.

El Classico is one of the biggest fixtures in the world, but both Real Madrid and Barcelona have been poor this season and a win in this fixture will be a major plus point for either side. However, we can’t see that happening and with Barcelona improving while Real Madrid have lost against Sheriff and Espanyol recently, neither team can afford to lose and when that is the case, usually neither side suffers a defeat.

Treble: 33/1
