The Vending Machine slot from Hacksaw Gaming is a retro-style slot that takes place inside a vending machine. There are multipliers on every row, the chance at random cascades, and two different free spins features within this slot game, both with a hypothetically infinite number of spins and the chance to win a max jackpot of 5,000x your bet.

There are a bunch of features to look out for in Vending Machine, a couple that occur in the base game, and two free spins version of a free spins feature.

On the left side of each row, you will see an arrow displaying a multiplier. Every time a winning combination lands on that row, the multiplier will increase by one. More than one multiplier can increase at a time as long as any symbol in the winning combination is on that reel. If a lightning bolt symbol lands on that row, the multiplier will become active and be attached to any winning combination with one or more symbols on the row. There are also multiplier boost symbols that can raise the multiplier higher.
Look out for the black skull symbol. If that lands on a reel, it will deactivate the multiplier, and you’ll need another lightning bolt to reactivate it. Whether the multiplier is active or not, it will continue to grow when winning combinations or special symbols land on it.

If no winning combinations land on the reels, a cascade may randomly occur. The girl beside the vending machine will casually kick it, causing all low-value symbols to disappear for the chance at new winning combinations.

If you land three FS scatter symbols on the reels, you will trigger the Lo-Fi Spins feature. When this feature starts, three of the multipliers will be activated. Lightning bolts and skulls can land to activate or deactivate any multiplier. The feature has no set number of spins instead it will end when no multipliers are activated after a spin.
If you land four FS symbols, you’ll enter the Spin and Chill feature, which is the same idea, except here you will start with all five multipliers activated, giving you the chance to line up more wins throughout the feature.

Released in July 2023 by Hacksaw Gaming, Vending Machine is an excellent combination of classic imagery and modern design. The little touches and what makes all the difference here, such as the girl kicking the machine in order to trigger the cascade feature.
Everything looks great here, the stylised cartoon-like graphics, the cat watching the moon in the background, the casual indifference of the girl on her phone, and all the items inside the vending machine look fantastic.

Wins in the base game of the Vending Machine slot are gained by landing three or more matching symbols on any of the slot’s paylines, starting from reel one and moving from left to right. The wild symbol will substitute for any regular symbol as well as paying out 20x your bet itself if you land five on a payline.
