The Bamboo and Shinobi symbols are at the heart of the two gameplay features in the Shinobi Spirit slot, one in the base game and one that triggers with three or more scatters.

Bamboo symbols displaying multiplier values appear on the first four reels during gameplay. If the Shinobi symbol lands on reel five, it will run across the reels and slash any bamboo in view, the values displayed on each will then be paid out. This can happen randomly at any point during the base game. Each bamboo symbol can pay out up to 1,000x your stake.

Three scatter symbols will trigger the Shinobi Bonus - as well as a payout if you land four or five symbols. There is no set number of spins here. Instead at least one Shinobi will land anywhere and have three lives. The feature ends when those lives run out. Each time the Shinobi slices a Bamboo symbol on its row or reel, it will add a life and the value of bamboo prizes will be doubled with each slash. There is also a Golden Shinobi, which can land during the feature and has six lives instead of three.

There are additional symbols on the reels during this feature. When slashed by the Shinobi these symbols can add extra Bamboo, increase the values of Bamboo symbols, or double the number of slashes the Shinobi can perform on a single spin.
