After two rounds of fixtures for all but four clubs, it may be a surprise to see that Leicester City are top of the league. There are only five teams overall that have won both of their matches so far, with Everton, Arsenal, Liverpool and Crystal Palace joining the Foxes. It’s still extremely early days of course, but it is shaping up to be a hugely entertaining season with plenty of attacking options on show for a number of sides. Those could be in evidence in two particular matches this weekend: Man City vs Leicester and Liverpool vs Arsenal. Here at LeoVegas, we take a look at all the latest Premier League tips and UK sports betting odds.
Now, here are some of our selected odds for the Premier League Gameweek 3.
Brighton have earned a number of plaudits for the style of football that they play, with Graham Potter setting up the Seagulls to be extremely attacking. This is built up via their wing back system, with Tariq Lamptey in particular looking excellent so far. They swept Newcastle aside 3-0 last week, so this fixture offers a lot of intrigue. Man United struggled badly in their Premier League opener, with a number of players looking off the pace. It’s important never to write the Red Devils off though, and strangely enough this match-up may actually suit them a lot more than the Palace game. This is due to the opportunity to counter attack with the pace of Rashford, Martial and Greenwood. We’re expecting goals here.
Before the season began, many pundits and fans had Crystal Palace down to really struggle. Never underestimate Roy Hodgson’s ability to turn things around though, as they defend brilliantly as a unit as well as counter attacking with pace on the break. They’ll certainly need to defend well this week as well, as Everton have started the season brilliantly as an attacking unit. James Rodriguez has slotted into the team beautifully and is creating so many chances for Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
One look at their results would tell you that West Brom are yet to adapt to life back in the Premier League. However, the heavy defeat at Everton was largely due to a silly red card for Kieran Gibbs, given for pushing James Rodriguez in the face. Matheus Pereira and Grady Diangana have been the only real bright spots for the Baggies and they’ll need to show some magic here too. Chelsea have a win and a draw, with their last game also ruined by a red card. Some of their signings will need time to bed in, but this looks like a perfect game for Timo Werner, who can show his pace and deadly finishing in behind the West Brom defence.
Although the transfer window is coming to an end in a few weeks, yet again Burnley are a side that have not spent any money. Sean Dyche has been showing signs of being far from happy with the club’s ambition in the market for a while and the only incoming player has been 3rd choice goalkeeper Will Norris. They gave it a good go in their first game at Leicester, but still conceded four and lost. Southampton have lost their first two league games, conceding six goals. The defending in the 5-2 home loss to Spurs was atrocious, and Ralph Hasenhuttl needs to put things right. This is an interesting match up of an attacking team vs a defensive team, and it’s a very tough one to call.
Chris Wilder can’t be happy with Sheffield United’s start to the season, losing both of their matches so far. Losing Dean Henderson looks like it has made quite the impact so far, as his replacement Aaron Ramsdale is already coming in for quite a bit of criticism. The Blades are yet to score in the Premier League this season and look toothless up front. Leeds on the other hand have been deadly in front of goal, converting 36.8% of their shots on goal, which is an unusually large percentage. Is that sustainable in the long run? If it is, Marcelo Bielsa’s side are in for a very good season.
Not many people predicted Son Heung-Min to score four goals in one game last week, but that’s exactly what the South Korean did. All of his goals were assisted by Harry Kane too, showing the striker’s creative skills. Newcastle on the other hand had a shocker, losing 3-0 at home to Brighton. They didn’t even look like scoring or even creating a half decent chance. Going two up front didn’t work for them, so we’d expect Steve Bruce to start with Callum Wilson up front on his own this time around. The Magpies have won some high profile games away to Spurs, including a 1-0 success last season with a Joelinton goal. However, we can’t see the same thing happening here.
After Man United’s woeful first performance after returning late, we weren’t sure what to expect from Man City. They soon put any fears to bed with a superb performance away at Wolves. Kevin De Bruyne completely ran the show, with a goal and an assist in their 3-1 win. Another interesting game beckons, as Leicester have won two from two so far. It’s likely to be quite an attacking game, with neither really having a defensive mindset. Man City are of course the stronger side, and could actually win heavily here if they take Monday’s form into it.
Once again, the random fixture computer must really not like West Ham. Such a difficult start to the season continues here, with Wolves providing some exciting attacking options to go along with their defensive solidity. Raul Jimenez has scored in both games so far, while Daniel Podence has assisted both of those strikes. The Hammers need to start picking up points but it’s going to be tough, and manager David Moyes is also likely to miss the game. Wolves just look like everything is in their favour here.
Another side that have lost both matches so far, Fulham are in danger of being singled out as one of the weak links of the division. They do deserve some credit for fighting back from 4-1 down at Leeds, but still ended up losing the game. Their opponents this weekend are Aston Villa, and after only one game that was primarily against 10 men, it’s tough to judge how good they are this term. They have certainly added some quality at both ends of the pitch, with Emi Martinez in goal and Ollie Watkins up front. If they can click together quickly and Jack Grealish has his creative boots on, Fulham could be in trouble.
Judging by their first two games, Liverpool are more than ready to defend their Premier League title. Wins against Leeds and Chelsea were impressive although not faultless. It does seem like it will be a two horse race again this season, but there is plenty of entertainment to be had. Arsenal would be happy with a top four finish, and they have started with two wins. If they are to get anything here, it will likely be through some Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang magic. This is usually the type of game that Mo Salah delivers in, scoring twice in this fixture last season. The Egyptian loves playing at Anfield, and Arsenal could leave space for him at the back thanks to their wing back system.

We also work on getting the odds updated for each match as soon as we can, meaning you can look ahead a few weeks in advance to see what your ideal bets might be.
In terms of the betting markets that are available for each individual match, there are often hundreds of different bets you can place. Some of the most popular betting markets on the site often include the Full Time Result, Total Goals, Both Teams To Score, Double Chance and Correct Score. Got a feeling about a particular scoreline? You can find the betting odds for it. Think that one team is solid defensively and won’t concede? You can place a bet on Both Teams To Score - No.
Looking a bit deeper into the odds for each game, there are more specific markets such as the Exact Winning Margin for a particular team or how you think the result might look at half time. Handicap markets can help level the playing field between one of the top teams and a lower side, for example giving Southampton a few goal head start against Chelsea.
Plus, if betting on Corners or Cards is more your thing then you may want to take a look at those markets specifically with the options of Total Corners and a Red Card to be awarded as just some of the options. More into player betting? You can bet on a player to score the first goal, last goal, to score any time and not to score in a match. Player specials are also available here at LeoVegas, such as to score and give an assist in the same game, or to score and get booked.
By scrolling to the bottom of a Premier League betting page, you can find some unique markets such as a penalty kick to be awarded or one of the teams to win both halves. One thing is for sure, when betting on a Premier League match here at LeoVegas, you will have plenty of markets to choose from.
As well as individual match betting, you can place outright bets on the Premier League too. The Premier League Winner market will of course always be the main focus for many people, so it is up to you whether you believe it is Liverpool’s year or whether Manchester City are going to dominate. After the shock success of Leicester City in 2015/16 though, it could be one of the outsiders that lift the trophy.
The Top Goalscorer across the season is also a very popular market here at LeoVegas, where you can pick out your favourite striker to grab the most goals. It could be that you expect Harry Kane to go on a magnificent scoring run, or maybe you believe the Vardy party will be back for another year. Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are likely to be in the hunt too, so could it be one of Liverpool’s star attackers? The choice is yours.
Many fans often get emotionally invested in the managerial sack race, and LeoVegas often list Football Betting Tips and odds for the next manager to leave their post. With the money involved in the Premier League and the stakes at an all-time high, the pressure is always on bosses to deliver. Who will be able to withstand the heat?
